After 25 years on the “inside” of HR—navigating everything from high-stakes employee relations to building performance cultures—I took the leap during the pandemic to launch aHRrow, a people-first HR consulting firm for small businesses with less than 100 employees. Bringing multiple decades of HR experience, positivity, and energy, I partner with leaders who are ready to grow, delegate, or simply step away from daily HR headaches.

In the free time I’ve created for myself through entrepreneurial spirit and an empty nest, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two adult sons, daughter-in-law, and friends—usually outdoors at our cabin in Black River Falls, fishing, kayaking, UTVing, or out on the golf course working on my consistently inconsistent game.

With over 30 years of progressive HR leadership in the media industry—supporting managers and employees across multiple states and overseeing all things HR for a workforce of over 600—I made the leap to join aHRrow. What drew me in was the people-first philosophy, which aligns perfectly with my own values.

With decades of hands-on experience, I enjoy bringing my knowledge, skills, and passion to help small businesses thrive and to make a meaningful impact on the lives of their employees. I take time to ensure that the HR support I provide aligns with a company’s unique culture and values.

Outside of work, I love traveling with my husband, spending time with my adult son and daughter, and sharing laughs with friends. I also enjoy cheering on Wisconsin sports teams, diving into a good book, and finding my creative side through paint-by-numbers art.

With a foundational background in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, I began my professional journey with a strong commitment to supporting the growth and development of others. During my Student Teaching experience, I gained valuable insight into my own strengths and interests, which ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in Human Resources—a field where I could continue to make a meaningful impact, but in a different capacity. As I look ahead, I remain enthusiastic about my expertise within the HR space and am eager to take on new challenges that allow me to grow professionally, contribute strategically, and make a lasting difference within an organization.
